Big Sky Winter Weather
February is peak winter season in Big Sky and ideal for snow sports. Daytime temperatures typically range from the mid-20s to mid-30s Fahrenheit (-4 to 2°C), with nighttime lows often dropping into the single digits or teens. Snowfall is common, and crisp mountain air makes for beautiful bluebird days. Warm layers, waterproof outerwear, insulated boots, gloves, and hats are essential.
Transportation to Big Sky
Driving Directions: A car is the most flexible way to explore Big Sky and the surrounding area. Winter driving conditions are common—snow tires or all-wheel drive are strongly recommended.
